9th International Conference – “Navigating Transport and Logistics in the Digital Era” August 5-7, 2024, University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka
Sri Lanka Society of Transport and Logistics (SLSTL) was set up in 2014, to build a professional environment to study the issues of the transport and logistics industry and to recommend sustainable solutions to develop the industry. In its effort to promote research and development, the society works towards its objectives of encouraging the conduct, financing, presentation, publication and other forms of dissemination of research, innovation, and development of the transport and logistics industry and accrediting professionals and institutions engaged in the teaching, research, and practice of transport and logistics in Sri Lanka, and to seek recognition of such accreditation from other international bodies.
SLSTL is also the domestic member of the Eastern Asia Society for Transportation Studies EASTS (http://easts.info/).
Research for Transport and Logistics Industry (R4TLI) is an initiative that endeavours to promote research and development of the transport and logistics industry in Sri Lanka, and the region helping diagnose its current issues and identify potential improvements and sustainable solutions based on scientific evidence. This annual research conference intends to build a platform for effective dialogue among academics and professionals in the fields, and for showcasing of research outputs and dissemination of new knowledge developed in this regard.
For the 9th consecutive year, the Society will be organizing the 9th International Research Conference, Research for Transport and Logistics Industry (R4TLI) 2024 from the 5-7 of August 2024, to be held physically, at the University of Moratuwa. This year, the Conference main theme and sub themes, will focus on “Navigating Transport and Logistics in the Digital Era” and will feature local and International speakers. Around 50 research papers and an audience of 300+ participants are expected at R4TLI 2024.
