5th International Conference on Research for Transport and Logistics Industry (R4TLI 2020) – Call for Papers

Dear Colleagues and Friends,


The International Conference on Research for Transport and Logistics Industry (R4TLI) 2020 is the 5th International Conference organised by Sri Lanka Society of Transport and Logistics (SLSTL). R4TLI was initiated to promote research and development in the transport & logistics sector in Sri Lanka and the Asian region. It mainly aims to create a platform to diagnose the current issues in the Transport and Logistics (T&L) sector and to identify potential improvements based on scientific evidence with the participation of both academia and practitioners in the T&L sector. The 4th R4TLI conference held in last year was a jointly organised event with the Eastern Asian Society for Transportation Studies (EASTS) which is the mother society in Japan. It was attended by over 500 participants from over 36 countries in the world.
Similar to previous years, practitioners and academics are cordially invited to share their knowledge, experience and insights on developing innovative solutions for solving transport and logistics-related problems in the region. The technical program includes plenary sessions, paper presentations, interactive sessions and innovative industry showcases.
Authors are invited to submit their abstracts (300 words) and author details on or June 30th 2020 to EasyChair. Full Paper should be submitted to the EasyChair by the deadline of On or before July 15th 2020. Full paper submission instructions are attached below. Authors will be notified of the decision pertaining to the acceptance of full papers by August 30th, 2020.
The conference will include peer-reviewed presentations of research work, from international and local researchers as well as from research students, on topics of relevance under the following areas:

  • Based on recommendations of independent Reviewers, all the selected abstracts will be published as proceedings of R4TLI and selected full papers of acceptable quality will be published in the Journal of South Asian Logistics and Transport (JSALT), SLSTL’s double-blind peer-reviewed Journal.
